Stephanie
Stephanie Morris is the founder/owner and an instructor at Desert Sage’s
Canine Care
.  Her lifetime has been spent either studying horses or dogs and both have
taught her a great deal about how to read their “language.”

Stephanie began her career as a “teacher” at Oregon State University’s Horse Center
Program.  She became certified as a riding instructor in 1993.  Training horses came
natural to her.

Dogs became her main focus when children were on the horizon for her and Bill in 1998.
She started working at the Humane Society of Central Oregon in 2000.  She adopted
her two Border Collie rescues Kelli and Doc and they have been amazing dogs to learn
from.  Kelli needed so much that Stephanie decided agility would be confidence
building.  She hasn’t turned back!

Teaching agility is Stephanie’s career and she is very thankful to have found such a
wonderful sport to compete in and be active in its growth around the area.

Stephanie believes in continuing education for her career and has been to many
seminars and camps.  She has learned from the best!
Stacy Peardot-Goudy,
Nancy Gyes, Kathy Keats, Barb Davis, Daisy Peel, Susan Salo, Brittney
Holtorf, Annalise Allan, Leslie Renaud, Moe Strenfel, Pia Silvani, Rachel
Saunders, Greg and Laura Derrett, Debbie Gross-Saunders, Sassie
Joris, Carolyn Barney, and Helix Fairweather
have all played important roles
in her teaching style and format.

It is her belief that spending the time doing the
Foundation Training will only increase
the overall ability for dog and handler to communicate and succeed in the competitive
agility arena.  She enjoys helping the different teams learn to maneuver around the
course faster, smoother, and more accurate.

Stephanie is currently competing with two dogs.....
Doc and Reya

Guess a Pembroke Welsh Corgi will debut sometime in the spring of 2007.
